I'm President of High Sierra Writers, a non-profit organization dedicated to "helping writers write better." For over a decade, I've taught many writers techniques they can use to screen through their own manuscripts, then, when they're ready, I'll edit the work.

WHAT YOU'LL GET

Depending on where you are in the writing process, my services will vary.

You have a finished manuscript, but still in rewrites - I'll work with you on the phone and online to show you techniques for developing characters, improving dialogue, heightening conflict, replacing description with images, and cutting out the bloat.

You have a finished manuscript, almost ready to send to agents and publishers. Do you want a line edit or a structural edit, or both? Do you want to check continuity? Do you want to know if there are holes in your plot, things that don't make sense? Does your voice sound unique, strong, compelling? Is your dialogue meaningful; does it snap? I can work with you online and/or by phone to polish your manuscript.

If you just want a simple line edit or more interactive collaboration, the choice is yours.

Online Articles and Blogs? - If you have an online presence and want to make sure your copy is clean, I can help, either on a one-time basis or as an ongoing editor. If English is not your native language, let me help you produce a finished product that is clear and without errors.

 

Pricing - Prices will vary, depending on the level of editing you want, the length of your manuscript, and how fast a turnaround time you want. The level of feedback and interaction is up to you, subject to negotiation.
